Light PS101 Up Blue on April 13th – Annual Autism Awareness Day – Revised

Light It Up Blue–Autism (2)

In Recognition of Annual Autism Awareness Day on Monday, April 2nd

Show our Support and Show How You Care!

Dear Parents/Guardians:

On Friday, April 13th, let’s Light It Up BLUE in support of Autism Awareness and wear your favorite shade of blue.  On Monday, April 2nd, a national movement to show solidarity and bring awareness to autism will be held and we are asking all of our families to celebrate with our 101 family on Friday, April 13th.

We care about children and want to celebrate the different ways we educate our students and various ways in which students learn.  Autism and other forms of disability are part of the human experience that contributes to human diversity.

Light It Up Blue, is annually observed on April 2 and is dedicated to raising awareness of autism. Autism Speaks, an autism research and education organization, announced the launch of the inaugural Light It Up Blue Campaign in 2010.  This initiative is intended to raise international awareness of autism in support of both World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month in the United States.

WEAR BLUE on Friday, April 13th — Show your love and support!
