April 17, 2018
Dear PS 101 Parents and Guardians:
Thursday, April 26th, 2018 is designated as the national Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day” is an enriching, educational experience in which youngsters will develop important qualities and valuable traits of successful teams and workplaces. The annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event is designed to assist students in forming ideas about their future career paths. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to show students the connection between their academic achievements and success in the workforce. In addition, if your child is accompanying you to your job to learn about your occupation, please ensure that you obtain a letter from your establishment for your child to bring to school. This absence is considered excused and will be coded as such with our Attendance Teacher/Office with documentation from your employer.
The annual family event creates opportunities for parents/guardians to highlight their places of employment, explain their job responsibilities, introduce co-workers, discuss various career choices and spend some quality time together. We encourage you take advantage of this wonderful and eye-opening learning opportunity with your child.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Margaret Lloyd at 1-347-563-4680.
