Little Lighthouse – Pennies for Patients

School Spirit Day

May 10, 2019

Dear PS 101 Parents and Guardians:

As we prepare our Service to Schools end-of-year project, we are excited to share our most productive and important fundraiser with the PS 101 community. Millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country. The funds collected will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner! Students, just like us across the country are collecting pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the Pennies for Patients campaign benefiting the those who need it most.

On Friday, May 10th, we are holding an assembly for all students to engage in learning about the donation process and have some fun with school staff to raise money for the important cause. We have some fun activities for our students and staff to participate in together as well. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society makes sure every penny collected goes to help a patient in need. If you don’t want to send your child in with the money please make an online donation @ studentseries.org/find-your-school. Pennies for Patients and PS 101 Students for A Cure! Together, we can show how much we care and unite as a school family of heroes.

Please join us on this crusade to help others in need and show your superhero strength with penny donations and your School Spirit 101 pride t-shirt on Friday, May 10th!

Thank you for opening your heart and donating for those children in need. SEND IN YOUR PENNIES and make a DIFFERENCE!

Sincerely,

Ms. Bova and Ms. Nessas and the PS 101 Little Lighthouse Team
