Dear PS 101 Families:
At this time of year we have reached mid-term and evaluate the status of your child’s progress. During the week of February 1st through February 5th, Potential Holdover Letters will be e-mailed to those students who are at risk of not meeting promotional criteria. It is with your partnership that we work together to ensure the content areas for improvement are met with hard work and commitment.
Promotional In-Doubt students may be flagged due to:
*Not meeting grade expectations or standards
*Inadequate work performance
*Insufficient work to determine students’ academic progress.
The packet you receive will include two letters:
#1 > PS 101 letterhead appointment letter will include the time/date/method of conference for the parent-teacher discussion.
#2 > NYCDOE letterhead will include an explanation of Potential Holdover status.
Classroom teachers will be arranging teleconferences or zoom conferences with each family to discuss concerns, areas for improvement, short/long term goals, action plans with strategies to help your child, next steps for intervention.
Method of Distribution for Potential Holdover Letters:
*All Students (Remote and In-Person): Student letters will be directly emailed to the parent’s email address on file.
