READY, SET, GO!! COLLEGE and CAREER READINESS

Dear PS 101 Families:

Time goes by very fast and thinking about your child’s future may start as early as primary school age. We recognize you want what is best for your child and their future. PS 101 wants the same hopes and dreams for your child. The NYCDOE has developed a new program for you to save for your child’s future.

We will be hosting a parent/guardian ZOOM meeting in May to help you activate your account and walk you through this wonderful opportunity.

The NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program provides families, schools, and communities with a way to work together to save for and invest in their children’s futures. It is a scholarship and savings program designed to make college and career training more accessible for public school students.

The NYC Scholarship Accounts for this year’s eligible kindergarteners will be ready to activate and view later this spring. At that time, parents and guardians will receive a Welcome Email and Welcome Kit from NYC Kids RISE with information on next steps. We look forward to working with new kindergarten families soon! Questions? Call the hotline at 833-543-7473.
