Dear PS 101 Families,

As a reminder, PS101 is not open to students until 8am. There are many parents who are dropping their children off too early and leaving them outside the school which presents a challenge as it gets colder outside, not to mention creates a safety concern.

Please ensure to drop your children off at 8am or wait with them until the school doors open.

On the other side of things, there are some parents dropping their children off too late. The school day begins at 8:30am with children in their classrooms getting ready to learn. Any student who arrives to their classroom after 8:35am is marked late which effects their report card and teaches bad habits around timeliness.

Now is your opportunity as a parent to create great habits for your children so they don’t have to undo them later. Please set your child up for success and ensure they are in school on time and ready to learn.
