Free Fun Drama Opportunity

Dear PS 101 Families,

I’m always keeping an eye out for what might be a fun and free opportunity for our students. On Friday November 20th at 2:45pm, you can join a Live Q&A with Broadway Actor Justin Greer.

Join us as we meet: JUSTIN GREER!  Justin is an opera singer by training, a Broadway dancer and actor by trade, and an arts educator.  He was most recently seen on Broadway as Lieutenant Ward and Henry Morganthau in the recent revival of ANNIE.  Prior to that, he was in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, swinging and serving as the dance captain. His career on Broadway has spanned more than a decade, and he has performed in the hit Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES, covering eleven men as a swing and assistant dance captain, as well as being part of the original Broadway companies of SHREK THE MUSICAL, URBAN COWBOY and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. Other Broadway shows include THE PRODUCERS, where he was the dance captain and understudy for Leo Bloom and Carmen Ghia, playing both leading roles many times, and the Tony award winning revival of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN starring Bernadette Peters. He has been a guest artist, teacher and arts administrator for numerous prestigious arts education organizations including Camp Broadway, Broadway Classroom, City Center, the BRAVO television network, US Performing Arts Camps, Moveable Arts, in the NYC public schools and was on the faculty of the Trevor Day School.  Mr. Greer is now a full-time arts specialist on the faculty of Manhattan’s prestigious Dalton School. He extensively lectures and has held master classes in audition techniques, dance, acting, music and performance. He holds a BFA in Vocal Performance and Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University, and currently resides in New York City.  We can’t wait to learn more about Justin and his pathway to his exciting career! We’ll also open it up for students to ask Justin their own questions LIVE! This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students and a fantastic learning experience for all!

ALL are invited to join this event from across the nation. There is absolutely no cost to participate. You must register for the event via this link so you can be reminded to tune in via Zoom on 11/20/2020 @ 2:45 PM EST.
