The fall season is now in full swing! October is filled with exciting activities, special events, and opportunities for our students to explore, grow, and thrive, both in and out of the classroom.

Please review the important October dates below to stay informed at PS 101.

Wednesday, October 1st	Pancakes with Percaccio – Leader of the Month Was your child selected as Leader of the Month? Join Assistant Principal Percaccio to celebrate your child’s successes and leadership qualities!
Wednesday, October 1st	Coffee with Korrol and GRADE 1 FAMILIES ONLY- 9am start. Join Principal Korrol to discuss and learn about the PS 101 philosophy for success, establish grade expectations, parenting tips, and Q&A session.
Thursday, October 2nd	NYC Schools Closed – Yom Kippur Observance
Tuesday, October 7th	PTA General Membership Meeting via ZOOM at 6pm. Link to follow, prior to the meeting date.
Friday, October 10th	Coffee with Korrol and GRADE 2 FAMILIES ONLY- 9am start. Join Principal Korrol to discuss and learn about the PS 101 philosophy for success, establish grade expectations, parenting tips, and Q&A session.
Friday, October 10th	SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY- CRAZY HAIR DAY! Do you have a silly hairstyle to share? WEAR your craziest, silliest, most fun hairstyle!
Monday, October 13th	NYC Schools Closed Holiday Observance: Italian Heritage/Indigenous Peoples’ Day
Tuesday, October 14th – Friday, October 17th	PS 101 Open School Week Visit PS 101 while instruction is taking place as an observer. You will see your child working in their classroom with their teacher and classmates. A specific schedule of dates/times and grades/classes to follow.
Tuesday, October 14th – Monday, October 21st	SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR- SHOP and SAVE at PS 101! Send your child to school with spending money or set-up ewallet for book shopping!
Thursday, October 16th	Coffee with Korrol and GRADE 4 FAMILIES ONLY – 9am start. Join Principal Korrol to learn about the PS 101 philosophy for success, establish grade expectations, parenting tips, and Q&A session.
Friday, October 17th	Coffee with Korrol and GRADE 3 FAMILIES ONLY – 9am start. Join Principal Korrol to learn about the PS 101 philosophy for success, establish grade expectations, parenting tips, and Q&A session.
Monday, October 20th	All NYC School Closed – Diwali Observance

Friday, October 24th	SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY- THINK PINK! Let’s support Breast Cancer Awareness month and WEAR PINK! Show your Viking Leader Pride and Support: WEAR PINK
Friday, October 31st	PTA FALL EVENT: PUMPKIN PATCH!
Friday, October 31st	SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY- CHARACTER DAY AT PS 101! Dress up as your favorite character/person!
