Cell Phone Usage Policy in PS 101
You may have heard in the news that the Mayor is considering changing the cell phone policy in schools and he is choosing to leave it up to the school to decide how to proceed.
At this time, we will be continuing our policy that has been in place for many years. PS 101 students may not use cell phones in school. For safety reasons, I believe students should have cell phones on their person when walking to and from school. However the cell phone must be turned off and placed in their school bag which is hung up in the classroom closet during the day.
