Welcome to a new year at PS 101! January is a time for fresh starts and renewed goals for the remainder of the school year. Below you’ll find important dates and upcoming events to help you plan for the month ahead.

Friday, January 9th	SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY – Get funky- Get silly- Get crazy! Crazy Hat Day > WEAR your silliest, craziest, fun hat!
Wednesday, January 14th	PRE-K Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens in MySchools.nyc.
Monday, January 19th	All Schools Closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Tuesday, January 20th through Friday, January 23rd	FDNY Fire Safety classroom visits with lessons and discussion with all classes/grades in PRE-K through 5.
Friday, January 23rd	Kindergarten Applications for the 2026-2027 school year closes in MySchools.nyc.
Friday, January 23rd	SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY – TWIN DAY! Team up with a friend or group to dress alike – like twins! Choose a friend or group to “twin” with. Plan a matching outfit together: shirts, headbands, colors, or full outfit to show off creativity and unity!
