Parent-Child Workshop: Celebrate the Lunar New Year & Explore Chinese Culture Together!

Dear PS 101 Families,

Join us as we celebrate Lunar New Year 2026 — the Year of the Horse 🐎 with a hands-on cultural experience for families! This interactive workshop will introduce students and parents to traditional Chinese paper cutting while learning the meaning behind an important Chinese word.

Paper Cutting: Chinese Word “Spring” (春 · Chun)

Discover the cultural significance of Chun, a symbol of renewal, hope, and new beginnings.

Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and we are excited to invite PS 101 families to join us for an early celebration!

The Chinese Zodiac animal for 2026 is the Horse: symbolizing energy, strength, and positivity.

Families will enjoy a hands-on cultural activity while celebrating the New Year together in a fun and creative way.
