Dear PS 101 Families,

November is a time for reflection, gratitude, and connection. We’re thankful for your continued support and the strong home-school partnership that helps our students thrive. Below are the key dates and events for the month to help you stay informed.

Wednesday, November 5thPancakes with Assistant Principal Percaccio to Celebrate Leaders of the Month
Thursday, November 6thHALF-DAY OF SCHOOL – Student Dismissal at 11:20am.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES will be held virtually. The afternoon session will be held from 12:20 – 2:20 pm. The evening session will be held from 4:30pm – 7:00pm.
Friday, November 7thSCHOOL SPIRIT DAY – ROCK N ROLL DAY!
For our music fans … think about hair changes and style! Let’s have fun and celebrate music across the decades and genres! WEAR your favorite Rock n Roll singer or band (country, blues, pop, etc).
Tuesday, November 11thVETERAN’S DAY – NYC SCHOOLS CLOSED
Friday, November 14thSCHOOL SPIRIT DAY- HONORING OUR VETERANS!
Wear RED-WHITE-BLUE in honor of our veterans who have served our country for Veteran’s Day.
Tuesday, November 18thPTA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING VIA ZOOM at 10AM. The link will be shared prior to the meeting date/time.
Tuesday, November 18th-Friday, Friday, November 21stTRAFFIC SAFETY CLASS LECTURE VISITS with guest speakers from the NYC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION to review traffic safety with Grades 4 and 5 ONLY.
Wednesday, November 26thSCHOOL SPIRIT DAY! WEAR YOUR FAVORITE COZY/WARM FALL FLANNEL CLOTHING.
Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY OBSERVANCE – ALL NYC SCHOOLS CLOSED

At a Glance: Grade 5 families are encouraged to complete middle school applications timely: due December 12th. Kindly note, applications for a specific talent in middle schools have an earlier deadline of November 3rd.
