Student Safety Reminder: No Glass Containers

Dear PS 101 Families:

To ensure the safety of our students and staff, please do not send your child to school with glass containers for drinking/food purposes or to use for supplies.

  • Glass containers of any kind should not be brought on school grounds. As a safety precaution, we are asking for full cooperation to prevent any accidents or unnecessary harm.
  • Any glass containers containing beverages/food poses as a risk and we will discard any of these items if observed in the classroom.
  • We care about our students, and we need your help to ensure only plastic bottles, jars or containers are sent in for all purposes.

Any questions, kindly contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Bing Xing Lin at 1-347-563-4860 or via email at BLin9@schools.nyc.gov.

Sincerely,

Schoolyard Safety

Dear PS 101 Parents/Guardians:

A gentle reminder to please refrain from using your electric scooters or e-bikes in the schoolyard, as this is a serious accident waiting to happen. Please work with me to ensure the safety for students, parents, and staff.

Additionally, please be advised, student scooters and bicycles use are not permitted in the schoolyard until after 3:00 PM to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal. Smoking and pets are NOT permitted as well.

I rely on your cooperation and partnership to ensure a safe school environment while in our schoolyard. School Safety will be patrolling the perimeter of the school building to help promote safe sidewalks and schoolyard.

Thank you for your cooperation.
