Thank You for Your Support!

Dear PS 101 Families:

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Leader In Me Funky Fun Bunch for their time, dedication, and support in coordinating and volunteering during our Candy Cane fundraiser.

Thanks to the generosity of our school community, PS 101 proudly donated $869 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting children and families in need. At PS 101, we believe in helping hands and caring hearts, and this effort is a true reflection of those values.

Thank you to all our families for your donations and for helping spread the word. Your support makes a meaningful impact.

Working Together to Stay Healthy

Dear PS 101 Families,

As we move into the winter and holiday season, we want to remind our school community of the importance of healthy practices to help reduce the spread of illness. We are currently seeing higher-than-usual rates of seasonal illnesses, including the flu and a stomach bug.

One of the most effective ways we can keep our school community healthy is by keeping children home when they are not feeling well. We appreciate your partnership in protecting the health and well-being of all students and staff. Please review the following reminders:

  • Speak with your children about good hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing and coughing or sneezing into their elbow or shirt.
  • If your child has a fever, they should remain home and may return to school only after being fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol.
  • If your child appears unwell or you are unsure whether they are healthy enough to attend school, we strongly encourage you to keep your child home. Staying home when sick helps prevent the spread of illness and supports a healthier school environment.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and commitment to keeping our school community healthy.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Bing Xing Li, at 347-563-4680 or BLin9@schools.nyc.gov. Our school nurse is also available to assist you.

Sincerely,
Gregg Korrol
