Dear PS 101 Families,

Throughout the school year, PS 101 is pleased to partner with the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) to provide our students with important Vision Zero Traffic Safety lessons.

These age-appropriate classroom presentations are designed to help students develop safe pedestrian and passenger habits while traveling throughout our busy city. Lessons will reinforce important traffic safety practices, including crossing streets safely, recognizing traffic signals, and making responsible decisions while walking or riding in vehicles.

Traffic Safety presentations will be scheduled throughout the school year for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 as follows:

• October: Grades 4 and 5
• January: Grades 2 and 3
• April: Kindergarten and Grade 1

We are grateful for our continued partnership with the NYCDOT in helping our students build safe habits that will benefit them both in and outside of school.
