Start Using the AI SuperTeacher Tutor TODAY
Dear PS 101 Parents,
Please watch the tutorial below on how to use your child’s AI Teacher and begin using this fun and engaging learning experience to help them learn from home starting today. Your child’s teacher can see if your child is logging on and doing work 🙂
To access Super Teacher:
- Download the app – install Super Teacher on your iPad, iPhone, Android or Chromebook. The app is free to download on the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android & Chromebook).
- Log in with Clever- using this link to log into Super Teacher with your child’s school account (same as you would use for Google classroom).
Once you’re logged in with Clever, you have access to the full Super Teacher app. If you run into any issues or if you have any questions, you can contact the company at support@getsuperteacher.com.
Serious Incident E-Bikes- We Need Your Help
Greetings, PS101 families! This is Principal Korrol, and I’m putting out this message because I desperately need your help with something. As you know, morning arrival and dismissal in the afternoon can get very crowded here. We have 1,200 students. Add in parents, and we’re looking at about 2,500 people at any given moment around the perimeter of the school.
We have a challenge with parents on scooters, electric bikes, mopeds, and so forth.
We do already have signs that say, please dismount and get off your bike when you’re approaching the school. But it seems to not be enough, as we had a serious incident this morning, when a child was hit by one of these electric scooters, which a parent was on.
We need you, and I’m asking you, to please dismount and get off your bike when you’re approaching the school.
Please get off your bike, walk your child to arrival or walk to pick up your child in the afternoon, and do not get back on your scooter until you’re away from the school area.
First of all, nobody should be riding on the sidewalks anyway. But regardless. Please make sure you’re getting off your bike, your scooter, whatever the case is, even if it’s just a regular old bike, and walking your bike with your child, and not…riding that scooter, because again, doing this can hurt other people. Things happen, kids are running in all directions, this is part of our crowd. This is normal in terms of what kids are doing. We need our adults and parents to help us by ensuring, again, and I’m repeating the same thing, you dismount your bike.
So please pass this message on to each other. We will continue to have people outside and assist where we can, but it’s our school community, and it’s how we work together that ensures student safety.

At New York City Public Schools, ensuring all students have access to a free, healthy, and nutritious breakfast and lunch is always a top priority. We are aware of potential SNAP disruptions that may affect our school community, and our students can continue to count on their school meals.

Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 6th
Greetings PS 101 Families:
We’d like to remind you that Thursday, November 6th is our fall Parent-Teacher Conferences and will be a half-day of school with student dismissal at 11:20 am. Students will eat lunch in school before leaving for the day. Please make necessary arrangements for your child ‘s early dismissal at 11:20 am.
You will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual or telephone Parent-Teacher Conference with your child’s teacher on Thursday, November 6th during the following times:
- Afternoon Session: 12:20 pm. – 2:20 pm.
- Evening Session: 4:30 pm. – 7:00 pm.
Please note:
- If you have not yet scheduled an appointment, please contact your child’s teacher through Google Classroom or the Remind app to arrange a meeting.
- If you are unable to connect with your child’s teacher(s) on this date, please know that teachers are available to schedule alternate appointments during Monday’s Parent Engagement time (after 2:20 pm), unless otherwise arranged.
- The first marking period report cards will be available in your child’s NYC Schools Account beginning Monday, December 1st.

PS 101 is proud to continue our long-standing pARTnership with Marquis Studios, bringing over 20 years of inspiring arts education to our school community!
As a pARTnership school, we are deeply committed to nurturing students’ creativity and expanding their artistic interests through engaging, culturally rich instruction across a variety of disciplines, visual arts, media, performing arts, theater, dance, and more. During each 10-week residency cycle, a dedicated arts specialist from Marquis Studios will work directly with our students to guide them through hands-on, imaginative learning experiences.
