Reminder: There Is Still Time to Fill Out NYC Schools Parent Surveys!
Dear PS 101 Families,
It’s Parent Survey time!
School Survey = Your School + Your Voice!
Please take a few minutes to complete the NYC DOE Parent Survey to ensure your voice is heard and to help us celebrate PS 101. Your feedback is important to us, and we truly value our PS 101 families! Deadline to complete the survey is April 1, 2026.

You may complete the Parent Survey online by visiting: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/nycdoe/login or scanning the QR code below.
Login instructions:
- Enter “f” followed by your child’s Student ID (OSIS#)
- Student ID numbers can be found at the top of the paper survey or in your family’s NYCSA account
- Paper Survey Option
If you prefer, you may complete the paper Parent Survey that was sent home. Please return it as soon as possible.
To ensure surveys can be scanned properly, please follow these instructions carefully:
- Use black ink, blue ink, or pencil only
- Fully shade the selected answer bubbles (no check marks or Xs)
- Do not make stray marks on the page
- Do not write over the QR code
- Do not tear the paper or remove the staple
Important Reminders & Incentives
- A separate survey is required for each child attending PS 101
(1 child = 1 survey, 2 children = 2 surveys, etc.) - When you complete a survey, your child will receive a FREE Full-Day “No Homework” Pass! 🎉
- Classroom Reward:
- The first class in each grade to reach 100% survey completion will earn an ICE CREAM PARTY! 🍦

Reminder: PS 101 Saturday Afterschool Program Cancelled on March 21st
Greetings PS 101 Families of Students in Saturday Test Prep Afterschool:
Kind reminder that the PS 101 Saturday Test Prep Afterschool program will be cancelled on March 21st due to the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday on March 20th.
We hope our students will be able to enjoy the long weekend. Our Saturday Test Prep program will resume as scheduled on Saturday, March 28th.

Puppetry For All! Family Puppet Making Workshop (In Partnership with Puppetry In Practice, Inc.)
Dear PS 101 Families,
PS 101 is excited to partner with Puppetry in Practice, Inc. to present Puppetry for All! — a joyful, hands-on puppet making workshop designed for participants of all ages. Families will explore creativity together while learning the art of puppetry and bringing their own unique characters to life!

Science curiosity continues to grow across our classrooms, and we are excited to share the March edition of the Science Scoop! We have gathered highlights from around the school to showcase the exciting investigations and discoveries happening at PS 101.
In this month’s issue, you’ll find: A spotlight on our Scientist of the Month with A fun science fact to spark conversation at home; A peek at the hands-on learning and investigations taking place across grade levels.
From observing, experimenting, and questioning to making real-world connections, our students are developing the skills and curiosity that help them think like scientists every day.

Kind Minds Student Assembly
Dear PS 101 Families of Grades 1 – 5:
On Monday, March 23, students in Grades 1–5 will participate in our Kind Minds Student Assembly. This program focuses on promoting kindness, empathy, and positive peer interactions among students.
Through engaging activities and discussions, the assembly encourages students to think about the impact of their words and actions, practice respect, and help build a caring and supportive school community.
We look forward to this meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on the importance of kindness and working together to ensure a positive environment for all.

NYC Public Schools Closed on March 20th
Greetings PS 101 Families,
As a reminder, in accordance with the New York City public schools’ calendar, there will be no school for students and staff on Friday, March 20th in observance of Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast.
This meaningful holiday marks the end of Ramadan, a month of reflection and dawn-to-sunset fasting for many in our community. To all who celebrate, we wish you a joyful and peaceful Eid. May your day be filled with special moments with family and friends.
School will resume on Monday, March 23rd, following our regular schedule.
