Last Call to Donate Your Used Crayons for The Crayon Initiative by April 19

Dear PS 101 Parents and Guardians:

The last day to donate your used crayons for the Crayon Initiative is Friday, April 19th!

Let’s gather our crayons and donate them! All around PS 101, students and teachers will be collecting used crayons that are ready to be discarded. Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used crayons you may have around the house!

Drop-off boxes will be located in the main entrance for your child to deposit the cryaons.

With the help of parents like you across the country, the Crayon Initiative program can continue to keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year and support children in hospitals to draw and help bring a colorful smile!

Donate your crayons now!

Thank you,

Ms. Correnti, Ms. Mark and PS 101’s Little Lighthouse Team

Reminder: Donate Your Used Crayons for The Crayon Initiative

Dear PS 101 Parents and Guardians:

The Crayon Initiative program designed a way to re-purpose the crayons and to create more joy in the world. The Crayon Initiative organization figured out the art of collecting and sorting old crayons, melting them down, and remanufacturing them in a bright, clean, paper-free form. The crayons are donated to children in hospitals all over the country with a new, unique design—large and three-sided, not round—so they’re easy for kids to grip and can’t roll off hospital trays.

The Crayon Initiative

Dear PS 101 Parents and Guardians:

Our Little Lighthouse Team is excited to tell you about a very special program we are coordinating at our school in conjunction with the Crayon Initiative Project – an amazing program devised to repurpose used crayons rather than sending them to landfills- making a big waxy mess that never biodegrades!
